Timing Belt Replacement
// Avoid costly repairs with Brake Team's timing belt repair!!
As seen on YouTube.
Over time, the drive belts and coolant hoses in your vehicle loose their ability to properly expand and contract, and can dry out and crack. A failure of one of these belts or hoses in your vehicle can have costly repercussions. Routine inspection and replacement of these parts is recommended by your manufacturer to help avoid a possible break down. Brake Teams experienced technicians can spot signs of potential belt and hose issues and resolve them before they become a bigger problem. In addition to brake repair and oil changes, we also provide full maintenance services, including belt and hose replacement.
Timing Belt Replacement is Recommended Every 60-90K!
In a nutshell, your timing belt is what connects your crankshaft to your camshaft, this in turn controls the opening and closing of your engine's valves. In some engines your timing belt may also be used to drive other crucial engine components such as the water pump or the oil pump.
Engine Manufacturers recommend replacing your timing belt at specific intervals. These intervals range from every 60,000 to 90,000 miles. Replacement of your timing belt at the intervals is highly recommended because a failure of your timing belt can lead to costly and, in some cases, irreparable damage to your engine.
Most times, there will be no warning signs at all that your timing belt is about to go, but if you are experiencing some of these symptoms your timing belt could be to blame:
• Rough idling
• Trouble starting your engine
• Chattering and other strange engine noises
• Visible cracks or wear on the timing belt
• Screeching noises
